Abstract
The AudioDescription (AD) training at Fellingsbro Folkhögskola started in 2011.
The school believes it is time to formulate a quality document in order to be able to maintain a high standard of AD. Inspired by international guidelines for the interpretation of ADLAB in Europe we are creating a quality checklist both for AD´s and for those who purchase AD.
These are excerpts from our 31 proposed points on our checklists for quality interpretation in recorded AD.
1. Is there an introduction?
2. Are the main characters described?
3. Are the key environments described?
4. Are facial expressions described?
5. Are body language described?
6. Is the AD both descriptive and explanatory?
7. Is there any AD even in longer sequences without dialogue or apparent activities.
