TransMedia Catalonia celebrated GAAD 2022 with different activities.

Short-term scientific missions are exchange visits for researchers within the LEAD-ME Action. Individuals can spend up to six months at an institution or laboratory based in a different country which is also part of the Action. This is a unique opportunity to receive funding for implementing a project with an international team where the STMS grantees can gain new knowledge and skills in media accessibility or access equipment or techniques that are not available in their home institution.
The international conference Green Digital Accessibility (GDA) will take place in Barcelona, in December 2022.

On August 11, 2021, a group of audio describers from the Eurasian Subtitlers's League made the first ever Russian audio description of a silent film. It was George Méliès's "A Trip to the Moon" (1902).
The choice of the film is not accidental. Georges Méliès was not only a well-known screenwriter, director and actor. He came up with the idea of providing silent films with a short commentary describing what was happening on the screen.
TransMedia Catalonia will have a space at Mobile Week Tecnocampus (Mataró) as part of the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2021, July 7th, 2021, 10:00 am - 14:00 pm (CET).
TransMedia Catalonia (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) will create a showroom where participants can learn and interact with five different technologies: 360 environments, eye- tracking, citizen journalism, ubiquitous and seamless human interaction with space, and accessibility consultancy and training.
The Media Accessibility Platform will launch its stable release on 20 May 2021 to celebrate the tenth Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
The Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is a worldwide event held every year on the third Thursday of May. The GAAD 2021 will be celebrated on the 20th of May. The GAAD aims at raising awareness about digital access and inclusion.
