Criteria for elaborating subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing adults in Spain. Description of a case study

Testing the reception of complex data with users is what both Ana Pereira and Lourdes Lorenzo set up to do in their investigations. While previous articles have dealt with separate formal subtitling features, Ana Pereira presents two closely related articles and does so from a holistic approach. The first article deals with the many tests taken on board to check the functionality and validity of a set of technical, orthotypographical and linguistic criteria designed to elaborate quality subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing adults in Spain.
