Evaluation of live-subtitles

The paper discusses methods to assess the quality of respoken subtitles and introduces some new aspects of their evaluation, based on insights into translation processes and on the specific requirements of the respeaking process in the German part of Switzerland (respeaking from dialect into Standard German). These aspects could be either integrated into existing evaluation methods such as NER (Romero-Fresco & Martinez, forthcoming) or used independently in cases where a complete and very thorough evaluation is necessary (e.g. when recipients of the respoken text have different opinions about the quality).
