Culture for All Bragança

The project seeks to develop accessibility resurces for 5 cultural venues managed by the City Council – Contemporary Art Centre Graça Morais, Photography Centre Georges Dussaud, National Railway Museum Bragança, Iberian Museum of Mask and Costume & City Theatre Bragança. Its focus is to provide accessibility for everyone, with a special focus on people with visual (PwVD), hearing (PwHD) and intellectual/ cognitive disabilities (PwICD). It aims to conduct 7 actions: 1) initial diagnosis of 5 cultural venues and questionnaire to PwD in 9 councils in the northeast of Portugal; 2) accessibility resources for Pw hearing disability – videos in SL (with subtitling), texts in easy language; 3) accessibility for Pw visual disability – audiodescribed visits, texts with braille and large print; 4) accessibility for Pw intellectual/ cognitive disability – texts in easy language, audio narrated texts; 5) accessibility in live events at the city theatre – AD, SDH, SL interpreting; 6) construction of maquettes, tactile plants and replicas; and 7) communication and dissemination.
