Adding audio description. Does it make a difference?

This article analyses the usefulness of audiodescription in television documentaries. 111 blind persons, divided into 2 groups, were interviewed and the results show that the degree of information obtained was clearly higher with audiodescription, especially in those programmes including less commentaries.
